How big should your rack be?
Measure the space where the rack will stand. All sizes are in millimetres — 1000 mm is 1 metre. Start from a preset if you're not sure.
Tip: standard doorways are about 2,000 mm tall — keep the rack under that if you'll ever need to move it.

How big should your workbench be?
Measure your space and your working height. All sizes are in millimetres — 1000 mm is 1 metre.
Tip: stand relaxed and measure to your elbow — that's your ideal worktop height.

How big should your frame be?
A closed box — four uprights with a full frame at the top and the bottom. All sizes are in millimetres — 1000 mm is 1 metre.
These are outside dimensions. If you're building around a machine, add clearance on every side before you enter them here.
